If I may intrude and add some here: by mounting and dismounting your
lenses SLOWLY, especially the suspicious third party ones, you can
avoid damage as well. If the little button has time to follow the
curvature of a screw of hole, nothing serious will happen. Only fast
movements will shear it off. It is like shaving: if you move the blade
very slowly over your face, most hairs will not be cut at all. Proper
shaving asks for short swift movements.
