I had a Sigma non-Apo 400/5.6 at one point in time. I compared it with the
300/4.5 coupled to the 1.4X. The Sigma was sharper at 5.6 but by f8 or f11 I
couldn't tell the difference. After I got the Tamron 400/4 I sold the Sigma.
